University Academy Long Sutton to End Public Leisure Centre Operations at the End of January 2026

University Academy Long Sutton (UALS), part of the University of Lincoln Academy Trust, has confirmed that its on‑site leisure centre will close to public members at the end of January 2026. The last day of opening will be Friday 30 January 2026.

The decision, made jointly with 3D Leisure who operate the facility, follows sustained cost pressures associated with running the leisure centre. Despite best efforts by both parties, the ongoing operation of the facility is no longer financially and commercially viable.

UALS remains committed to supporting the local community use of the facilities. The school will continue to make its facilities available for use by community groups in the evenings and Long Sutton Hockey Club will retain its use of the AstroTurf pitch.

3D Leisure is contacting members directly with information about memberships.

Further details about facility bookings and community access will be shared in the coming weeks via the school’s website and social media channels.

This change in daytime public access to the on-site leisure centre sits alongside significant investment in the school site through the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme, which will deliver modern, sustainable facilities to support pupils and benefit the wider community.
