Employer Information

We are very keen to engage with businesses and employers to help us inform and educate students about the local and national employment opportunities.

This links directly with Gatsby Benchmark 5 – Encounters with Employers and Employees, and Gatsby Benchmark 6 – Experiences of Workplaces. We provide many opportunities for businesses to interact with students: World of Work days, Career Carousels, Employability Skills workshops, Careers Fairs, presentations, work experience, small group work etc.

Examples of Employer Engagement over the last academic year

September 2025

Our Year 11 Engineering group took part in a trip to Guttridge Engineering in Spalding

October 2026

Our Year 11 DT pupils went over to a Sustainable careers fair at the MVV site in Wisbech.  This included major employers including Caterpillar from Peterborough.

November 2025

Years 7-11 attended our bi-annual careers fair which was attended by over 40 local and national employers and educators.

The Royal Navy Engagement Team ran STEM and Team Building activities for Years 9 and 10.

January 2026

Years 7,8,9 and 10 took part in a Super Learning Day which involved over 20 different businesses and educators from the local area.  This included Bowmer + Kirkland, The Army and Royal Navy, Channel 4, K 9 Deployment, The NHS, LincHigher, College of West Anglia, Willmott Dixon, The Talent Foundry and Skills Supply.
