Dates for work experience 2026
Work experience will run from the 18th-22nd May 2026.
All pupils in Year 10 will take part in work experience during the week of Monday 18th-Friday 22nd May 2026. During this period there will be no planned lessons-each day pupils will attend the workplace of their host employer.
Work Experience is a valuable opportunity for pupils to explore possible career paths, gain insights into the world of work, and develop skills that will strengthen their CV. We know from experience that it can be one of the most transformational parts of a young person’s education.
We ask that pupils and families source their own work experience placements. Whilst I will do my best to support pupils who are unable to secure a placement, our resources are limited, so I can only assist a small number of pupils.
To help manage the process we are using Unifrog (www.unifrog.org). This platform will collect important information from employers, such as risk assessments and health and safety policies, and will also be used to obtain parental/guardian consent before placements are confirmed.
